The phone went RING RING.The rain falls and sounds like DRIP DROP. Pigs make this sound OINK OINK. When the balloon touched the ground it went POP. When I turned the lights on they go FLICK.
The bomb went BOOM. Cows go MOO. The duck went quack.
Well done Aimee. I really like your onomatopoeia sentences. Can you think of any more? When you read a book, do you come across any onomatopoeia words to make it more interesting ?
Next time you're in the library Aimee see if you can find a book that has lots of onomatopoeia in it to bring the story to life for the reader.
